Google Pixel 9 may be available for unofficial sale in Algeria

Google has officially announced the launch of the Pixel 9 series at an upcoming event in August. The launch event is scheduled for August 13, 2024. This year, Google is breaking the tradition of launching the flagship Pixel series in October and is launching the phones a bit early.

Well, it seems that Algeria does not want to wait until August, as according to the latest leaks, the Pixel 9 series is allegedly already available for sale in the country. Video shared by Hani Mohammed Bayoud Shown on X is a pink Pixel 9.

The alleged Pixel 9 video shows the device from all angles and in a new color. The leaked video suggests that Google may have stopped using muted colors and is moving forward with actual colors this time for the Pixel 9 series.

We can also see the redesigned circular-shaped camera module on the back of the phone, which is not attached to the back like its predecessor. The design aligns well with a previous leak that showed the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The alleged Pixel 9’s frame also appears to be square, similar to the latest iPhones. The device’s corners are also curved, making it easier to hold compared to the sharp, tapered Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Previous leaks have suggested that the standard Pixel 9 will sport a glossy back, which is what the new leaked video from Algeria shows. However, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are expected to feature a matte back and a triple camera setup.

Additionally, the Pixel 9 has also been spotted in a benchmark with the Tensor G4 chip. According to the leaked AnTuTu benchmark results, the Pixel 9 with the Tensor G4 chip has shown modest improvements over the Pixel 8 with the Tensor G3 chip, and this is expected to improve when the phone is officially launched.
