Jamie Foxx has yet to publicly reveal the reason. He was hospitalized last year. But he shared more details during a video interview.
The Oscar-winning actor was hospitalized in April 2023 due to a health crisis while filming Netflix’s “Back in Action” in Atlanta.
in Video posted on TikTok This week, Fox told an anonymous group of people that he had a “bad headache” on April 11, 2023. He recalls asking his friend to take Advil and then “going black for 20 days.”
“I don’t remember anything,” he said in the video, which was recorded June 29 in Phoenix.
Fox continued his explanation in the footage, saying he was told his sister and daughter took him to a doctor, who gave him a cortisone shot. Pointing to his head, Fox said another doctor told him something was “going on there.”
“I wouldn’t say that on camera,” he said in the footage.
The star is known to be private about his private life, and disappeared from the spotlight at the time after what his daughter Corinne Foxx then referred to as “medical complications” on social media.

Fox shared another update on his health. On his verified social media accounts in August 2023.
“You are looking at a grateful man… finally starting to feel okay…” he wrote at the time. “It has been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light.”
He added that he was “grateful to everyone who reached out to him and sent him congratulations, blessings and prayers.”
