The famous Stilt house from Michael MannThe crime thriller Heat has a new owner… as someone has seized a prominent property for a pretty penny.
The iconic East Los Angeles home – which was featured in a pivotal scene in… Robert De Niro And Al Pacino-led classic — sold last Friday for $1,075,000. The sale came two months after the home hit the market for $1.18 million.
The property, built on a cliff in the Los Angeles area, is worth more than the Benjamins… with great views of the city – you can even see Catalina Island on a clear day. The house has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2,016 square feet of living space. The property is located on an area of 10,000 square feet.
Of course, the biggest appeal is the house’s ties to Hollywood. For those who are not familiar with the movie “Heat,” the Stilt House appears in the movie as a residence Danny TrejoGilbert Trejo character. But you won’t get much more from us — we don’t want to spoil the movie!!!
Unloading this property has been a bit of an epic… The Stilt House is first put on the market in 2023… with the owners asking $1,599,000. The price was reduced several times, before the house was removed from the market last January.
The house went back on the market in April…and the rest, as they say, is history.
