After Klay Thompson agreed to leave the Golden State Warriors and join the Dallas Mavericks, his longtime teammate Stephen Curry paid tribute to him on social media.
Curry posted a series of photos of himself and Thompson His Instagram story He also wrote a message saying his backcourt mate was “going to be missed”, concluding: “Splash Bros 4 life my guy”.
Curry and Thompson, along with star forward Draymond Green, helped establish the most successful dynasty of the current era, leading the Warriors to four NBA championships in eight years from 2015 to 2022. Former Golden State head coach Mark Jackson declared Both were “the greatest shooting grounds in the history of the game” in 2013, and they delivered on that bold statement.
Unfortunately, there were signs that Thompson’s time in Golden State was coming to an end through the 2023-24 season. Despite Thompson’s struggles throughout the year, Curry made it clear that he believes their partnership will continue.
